In late 2008, the United States experienced a substantial credit crisis on Wall Street that led to the bankruptcy of large and well established investment banks. In an effort to counter the severe impact on the economy and consumers in both the United States and globally, the Obama Administration recently signed a $787 billion economic stimulus package into law.
As the economic crisis continues to unfold, faculty at Georgetown University are available to comment on a variety of issues including the causes and consequences of the financial crisis, the current volatility of U.S. and international financial markets, and how the market, investors and consumers are being affected by the stimulus package.
